Requests for Proposals: Pre-Kindergarten Program

The Shenendehowa Central School District is soliciting second round proposals for the purpose of collaborating with the District for the provision of a Pre-K Instructional Program (children who will be 4 years old by December 1) within the Shenendehowa School District's boundaries.

Test Drive a Bus on June 3

If you've ever thought about driving a school bus but were afraid to try it - here's your opportunity! The Shenendehowa Central Schools Transportation Department will conduct a "Test Drive a School Bus" event for prospective school bus drivers. Our trained staff will allow prospective applicants, with valid driver's license, to drive a school bus - supervised - around the Shen Campus!

2026 WorldStrides Boston Music Festival

Shenendehowa High School choirs recently traveled to perform at the 2026 WorldStrides Boston Music Festival. This marks the first overnight music festival for Shen Choirs since 2020, highlighting the students’ strong partnership with their teachers, Mr. Gregg and Mrs. Stambach. All three ensembles earned the highest distinction, a Gold rating, for their outstanding musicianship.

Two Shen Students Compete at DECA International Career Development Conference

Business students Anushka Sentapati and Aiden Wan recently traveled to Atlanta, Georgia to compete at the 5 day DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC). They joined more than 26,000 DECA members from around the world. During the conference, students enhanced their competitive skills, participated in valuable networking opportunities, and experienced all that the city of Atlanta has to offer.

Local Artist Teaches Printmaking at Karigon

Troy Printmaking's visiting artist Madeline Savarese came to do a lesson with Mrs. Robinson's 5th grade students at Karigon. They had a great time learning about this art form and we have beautiful prints adorning their lobby now!

Student Success on National Latin Exam

Shen Latin Students took the Nation Latin Exam the week of March 3. Not only did multiple students have perfect papers, but over 70% of our students placed on this national exam.

Happy Birthday Mr. Jones

Karigon staff members celebrated Principal Malik Jones’s birthday with a playful, underground spirit day.  They dressed up as Mr. Jones, and surprised him with creative costumes and cheerful energy. It was a fun way to make his day extra special and a good reminder of our Karigon motto: Together We Can Do It!

Student Senate and Rho Kappa's Trip to Albany

This past Tuesday, Rho Kappa and the Student Senate visited the New York State Capitol. We toured the building, asked Senator Jimmy Tedisco some questions, and spent time learning about the State Assembly's functionality with Katie Bender, the Director of Communications and Information Services for the majority party, and Lauren Keating, the Deputy Director.
